Atom Rep, MMHA 2013-2014 (Midland Minor Hockey Association)

On Saturday the Bourgeois Motors Atom Rep took on the Tillsonburg Tornadoes in game 3 of the OMHA finals.  The Centennials led the series 2-0 after winning on the road 10-1 and 6-1.  The team was looking to close out the series and claim the championship with a victory in front of their home crowd. Opening the scoring for the Centennials at 2:42 in the first was Brett Bressette, assisted by Ethan Larmand. Tillsonburg tied the score at 14:47 in the second. The Bourgeois Motors Atom Rep travelled to Collingwood on Thursday night for game 2 of the best 3 series for the league championship.  They were victorious in game 1, defeating Collingwood 7-0. The atoms were not at their best in game 2, but with the goalie pulled late in the third period, Noah Collins scored with 4 seconds left to tie the game at 5 and force overtime. The centennials worked their hardest in the O/T and were able to score on a goal by Brett Bressette, to end it and claim the championship with a 6-5 O/T victory.

The Atom Reps jumped out to a 2-0 series lead in the OMHA Finals when they travelled to Tillsonburg on the weekend.  In game 1 on Saturday, the atoms were a little slow to start after the long drive. Tillsonburg took an early 1-0 lead heading into the second period. The atoms found their feet and scored 8 unanswered goals in the second period and 2 in the third. Final score 10-1. Scoring for Midland - Bressette (4), Phillips (2), Lancione (2), Larmand and Bottineau. Assists for Midland - Bressette (3), Phillips, Bourgeois, Collins, and Gleason-Kaps.

The Atom Reps defeated the Port Hope Phantoms yesterday 7-2 to clinch the series.

The Atom Reps travelled to Sarnia to compete in the Sarnia International Silver Stick A Division this past weekend.
