Bourgeois Motors Atom Rep International Silver Stick Finalists!
The Atom Reps travelled to Sarnia to compete in the Sarnia International Silver Stick A Division this past weekend.
The boys defeated the Greater New Haven Warriors in their first game 8-3. The second game on Friday saw the Cents skate away with a 2-1 win over the Meadowvale Mohawks. Their third and final game in the robin, the Cents played the Port Huron Flags and won 16-0. That set up their quarter final matchup against the Vaughan Rangers. The Cents skated into the semi-finals with a 7-0 win over the Rangers.
The 7:30 am Semi-final matched Midland against the Strathroy Rockets, a fellow BB team from the OMHA. The centennials came out with a 4-3 win to earn a berth in the Silver Stick Finals.
They faced off against the Arapahoe Warriors from Colorado. The Centennials came out flying and were winning till late in the game when Arapahoe tied it up to send it to overtime. Three on three OT would decide the championship. The boys had a couple of great chances, but Arapahoe scored on their chance.
The boys should be extremely proud of their accomplishment and their work ethic. They left it all on the ice and fell just short.
Now onto the OMHA playoffs!
