Peewee Rep - Bourgeois Motors - Bourgeois Motors Peewee Rep team wins the Bradford Blue and Gold Tournament!!
Submitted By Kyle Aymer on Thursday, October 24, 2019

Congratulations go out to The Bourgeois Motors Peewee Rep team for winning the Bradford Blue and Gold Tournament this past weekend.

The team went undefeated with a 5-0 record. Friday afternoon saw the Centennials come out on top of a close affair with a 2-1 win over Georgina Blaze.

On Saturday, the team played 2 more games. The team went on to win the morning game 6 - 2 against the Mississippi Thunderkings. They then faced off against the Burlington Jr Cougars in the afternoon. The team put in a solid effort and won 3-0. They finished pool play in first place and earning a spot in the semi finals.

The Sunday Morning semi final had them facing the Mississippi team again, it was quickly realized that this team came out a lot stronger than they did the previous day. Midland was able to stay strong and were able to come out on top with a 3-2 win to setup a thrilling championship game later on Sunday afternoon.

The Championship game saw Midland facing the Burlington Jr Cougars once again in what would be a very exciting and closely matched game. After a scoreless first and second period, the Burlington team took a very untimely penalty late in the game and Midland was able to capitalize on the power play with a nice passing play to setup the game winning goal with less than 2 minutes to play. The team was then able to hold the Jr Cougars at bay for the last couple minutes of play to capture the Championship trophy!

Congratulations to all of the players, coaches and parents on a very successful weekend!
