Huronia Steel Sales Novice Rep off to 2-0 Lead in series
It has been an amazing weekend for these young boys. They have worked extremely hard to reach the OMHA Finals against the Stirling Blues. In front of two huge home crowds these players made all Midland extremely proud. Not only through competition, but also great sportsmanship.
Game 1 of the series, saw the Centennials come out strong and skate away with a great 2-1 win over the equally strong Stirling Blues team. Both teams competed hard and made it an exciting match, neither team giving up and playing right to the final whistle.
Game 2 on Saturday, had both teams come out flying. The Centennials opened the scoring first and the Blues came back and tied it. The Centennials kept working together and put more and more pressure on the Blues. Midland scored 3 unanswered goals to secure the win and take game 2 by a final score of 4-1.
The Novice Reps will now travel to Stirling next weekend for game 3 and if necessary game 4. We wish all the players, bench staff, parents, grandparents and fans the best of luck.
