Bourgeois Motors OMHA Champions 2013-2014
On Saturday the Bourgeois Motors Atom Rep took on the Tillsonburg Tornadoes in game 3 of the OMHA finals. The Centennials led the series 2-0 after winning on the road 10-1 and 6-1.
The team was looking to close out the series and claim the championship with a victory in front of their home crowd.
Opening the scoring for the Centennials at 2:42 in the first was Brett Bressette, assisted by Ethan Larmand.
Tillsonburg tied the score at 14:47 in the second. But the Centennials went ahead again at 7:24 when Larmand scored on a pass from Bressette.
The tornadoes evened the score with only 2:41 remaining in the second period.
The third period, had the Centennial's come out flying. Noah Collins scored scored at 13:11 of the third from Larmand and Noah Gleason-Kaps. Tillsonburg evened the score at 4 a piece, when they scored on a shorthanded opportunity at 8:02 of the third.
At 3:58, Gleason-Kaps put the Cents out in front after a goal mouth scramble. It would prove to be the game winning goal.
Final score 4-3 for Midland.
Congrats to both teams on a very exciting game.
The season for Centennials team has been a thrilling, once in a life time feat.
Final record 72-3-0. Undefeated in league play going 20-0, Huntsville Tournament Champs, Orillia Tournament Champs, Regional Silver Stick Champs, Bell Capital Cup A Champions, International Silver Stick Finalists, Georgian Bay Playoff champs, and now OMHA Champs!
