We met with Penetang and Elmvale last night to review the Amalgamation survey results.
We had above 90 percent of our respondents indicate they would be in favour of the amalgamation, we had around 120 responses. Penetang also had above 90 percent of their respondents indicate they would be in favour of the amalgamation, Penetang had around 80 responses. Elmvale’s survey results were around 59% indicating yes or leaning to yes and 41% no or leaning no with 88 responses in the survey.
Please keep in mind, this was not a vote and nothing has been determined. This survey was just to get an idea of what the interest level of each center might be.
We will be hosting information sessions in the new year for all three memberships to get more information and to ask questions. Dates, times and places of the sessions will be announced once they are set.
