Out of Town Fees
It is that time of year when town budgets are being drafted. After reading the draft of Midland town’s budget, we wanted to make our membership aware that Midland is proposing a $200.00 per household out of town fee for all families who use the North Simcoe Recreation Centre who live outside of Midland.

This has come due to Tiny Township pulling their Funding from the Rec Centre. The town is also proposing a raise in ice fees from the current youth rate of $162.20 per hour to $170.32. We understand that the out of town fee will affect many of our members and we highly recommend you contact the Midland Council as well as your own whether it be Tay or Tiny to let them know you are against this and see what they can do to support you. Midland Minor Hockey’s main goal has always been to provide an affordable, safe and fun environment for children and youth to learn and play the sport they love, and we will continue to push to provide this to our returning and new families.
