Huronia Steel Sales Novice Rep Nobleking Challenge Cup Champions
Congratulations to the Huronia Steel Sales Novice Rep team on winning the 2017 Nobleking Challenge Cup Novice A tournament this past weekend!
The team finished the tournament with a record of 4-1-0 to claim the title.
They started the tournament with a tough 1-0 loss to the Sault Ste. Marie Lions Club team and then faced off against the host team NobleKing Knights and were able to come out on top of a high scoring affair with an 8-5 victory.
The third game in the round robin action was played against the Schomberg Red Wings with a convincing 6-0 victory to put the team in first place after round robin play.
In the semi-final game they again faced the Schomberg Red Wings and were able to skate to a 7-1 victory setting them up for the championship final match up on Sunday against the Sault Ste. Marie Lions Club team for a rematch from the first game of the tournament.
The team was able to put in a solid effort and were awarded the Championship with a 4-1 victory.
All of the boys had a lot of fun and played exceptional this weekend and were rewarded with the Championship – congratulations to all of the team members, coaches and parents!
