GENERAL INFORMATION

COST: $750.00

Sanction Permit #9380

  • 8 teams competing per division
  • No Gate Fee
  • Skills Competition for each division
  • 1 day, 3 Games per division
  • PIZZA lunch for all players and bench staff included!
  • Each player receives an award.

*Note: No Select Teams Permitted


TOURNAMENT RULES

  • O.M.H.A. rules will apply.
  • The tournament committee will designate home teams.
  • Home teams will wear light colour jersey. If a conflict arises regarding jersey colours, the HOME team will change jerseys
  • Dressing rooms must be vacated within 30 minutes after the completion of a game.
  • Teams must be ready to play up to 15 minutes prior to the scheduled time.
  • Coaches are responsible for team conduct while their team is at the Arena.
  • NO PARENTS ARE ALLOWED ON ICE FOR ANY REASON! ONLY BENCH STAFF & PLAYERS PERMITTED!
  • Any player receiving a match penalty is not allowed any further participation in the tournament.
  • No time outs will be permitted, except in championship games.
  • In the event of a tie game, there will be a five (5) minute 4 on 4 sudden victory overtime, if still tied it turns to a three player shoot out (followed by sudden death shootout…any player may shoot, even if already used)
  • In the event of a tie in the standings, the final results will be decided by:
    1. Goal differential. The team with the highest tournament goal average. This is determined by the total goals scored/ total goals for & against. EXAMPLE: Team 1 scores 10 goals and gives up 14. 10/24=.417
    2. Most goals scored
    3. Fewest goals allowed
  • Three 10 minute stop time. Run time in the 3rd, period if goal difference is 5 or greater until difference is reduced to 3 or less.
  • Rosters and travel permits must be e-mailed to address below. All teams including the home center are responsible for a travel permit or will not be permitted to play.
  • Any disputes will be settled by the Tournament Committee and all decisions will be final.
  • Skills Competition included. Rules as followed:
    • One player for each event.
    • Fastest skater, timed one lap. One player per team.
    • Puck Control – Obstacle Course. One player per team.
    • Shoot Out – One Player, One Goalie per team.
    • Player shoots on other goalies once. Player with most goals win.
    • Goalie with the fewest goals allowed wins.
    • Sudden death to break ties.
  • All players, bench staff and parents to have fun and enjoy our tournament. Code of Conduct strictly enforced.

The Midland Minor Hockey Association will accept e-transfer and payments by cheque.
