Royal Canadian Legion Midget Rep Team Repeats as Georgian Bay Champions
Congratulations to the
Midget Rep team as they capped a successful season with a strong finish in the
Georgian Bay playdowns. The Centennials
completed the Round Robin stage with a 5-0-1 record to finish as the first
seed, and set up a three game Championship series against Collingwood. Midland never trailed, sweeping Collingwood, with
a 4-2 game one win, and taking game two 5-1.
The game was the last Midland Minor Hockey game for several team members. The roster contained 8 third year players, many of which will be leaving Midland to various schools or other experiences. We wish all of you the best of luck in your future endeavors. Thanks to this years coaching staff, who gave so much of their time, and coached the team to two tournament wins and a trip to the International Silver Stick tournament.
