Our Peewee LL #2 team had a great time at the Cayuga Peewee Tournament held yesterday (Dec 12, 2015)!
The tournament began with a "Skills Competition" that consisted of an obstacle course & a shoot out. Midland did an amazing job & was
victorious over the other 5 teams in the tournament! Players won tickets to the Hockey Hall of Fame for their efforts!
The first game of the day saw Midland vs Cayuga. The teams were very well matched & the game was extremely exciting to watch! The game ended in a tie 1-1 after the 3rd period. Continuing into a tie breaker; they played 5 on 5 for 3 minutes with no victory. They continued on to 4 on 4 for 1 minute, then 3 on 3 for one minute, then 2 on 2 for one minute! Cayuga took the victory at the buzzer in the 2 on 2 match leaving Midland with 1 point going into the second game.
The second game saw Midland vs Delhi. This competition was also very well matched & a fun game to watch. They volleyed the score back and forth from 1-1, then 2-2. Delhi ended up taking the lead in the third period and ended with a 5-2 victory over Midland.
The boys and parents had a lot of fun at this well organized tournament! Overall; a great day of hockey!
