2018-2019 Qualification Requirements for Team Officials
Submitted By Mark Dininio on Thursday, June 21, 2018
If you are interested in helping on a bench this upcoming season, please check to make sure ALL of your coaching or trainer qualifications are up-to-date.

Certification Requirements for Team Officials in the 2018-2019 season will remain in place.  To see what the minimum requirements are for your division and position, please visit:

2018-2019 Team Official Qualification Requirements

To view a list of all upcoming OMHA courses, please visit the following pages:

Hockey Canada NCCP Coach Clinics

HTCP Trainer Online Course and Refresher

We would also like to remind all coaches, trainers and potential managers that all bench staff, including managers, must have completed their Gender Identity Training course and SpeakOut (no longer offered) or OMHA Respect In Sport for Activity Leader course in order to be rostered to an OMHA-approved team.  These only need to be taken once so if you have done these in the past they are still valid.

To take either course, please use the links below:

Gender Identity Training

Respect in sport for Activity Leader:

The OMHA will not allow me roster you to a team if ANY of your qualifications are invalid or expired.

If you need to take a course or refresher, please be sure to get signed up and completed this summer before the season starts or you will not be permitted on your team's bench. You can find out the status of your qualifications by logging into your Hockey Canada account to check at any time.

The MMHA will reimburse you for the costs of any coaching or trainer courses you have taken (we do not reimburse for the Parent Respect In Sport course - only the Activity Leader course).  You must be rostered to a team for the 2018-2019 season to be eligible for reimbursement.

You can apply for reimbursement by leaving the original copy of your course receipt, a note about which course the receipt is for and your contact information in an envelope to the attention of the "MMHA Treasurer" in the secure MMHA box at the arena reception counter.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me any time.

Thank you for your cooperation with this and enjoy your summer!
