The Boathouse Eatery Atom Reps are 2018 OMHA BB Champions!
Submitted By Mark Dininio on Wednesday, March 28, 2018
The Boathouse Eatery Atom Rep Midland Centennials are very proud to announce that they are the 2018 OMHA Atom BB Champions!  The team traveled to St. Mary’s on Saturday Mach 24th for the third game against the St. Mary’s Rock. With Midland holding a two game to zero lead in the best of five series the team had a chance to wrap up the final series.

It was an extremely close game with both teams trading scoring chances.  With the game tied 0 – 0 and less than four minutes remaining Midland was able to capitalize on a mistake by St. Mary’s and score a short-handed goal. Two minutes later, with the opposition net empty in favor of an additional attacker, Midland struck again to take a commanding 2 – 0 led with a minute and a half left in the game.

St. Mary’s did their best but in the end it was not enough and the Centennials were able to raise the Albert Schram Trophy as 2018 OMHA Atom BB Champions.  Congratulations to the players, head coach Jim McLaren, assistant coaches Gary Miller and Ken Mullin, trainer Jeff Weiker, Manager Jacquie Robson, parents for an outstanding year.

This year's Atom Rep team were well represented by a very skilled and talented group of young players including goalies #1 Masen Downs-Nestorowich, #30 Kevin Pearson and players #2 Ty Hutton, #3 Owen Fuller, #4 Cole Warren, #5 Cameron Mullin, #6 Blake Weiker, #7 Curtis Warren, #8 William Van der Weg, #9 Brody Berry, #10 Owen Clennett, #11 Jim McLaren, #12 Drew Robson, #13 Cameron Rowlandson, #16 Mason Fitzgerald and #17 Tyson Berry.

The team would especially like to thank The Boathouse Eatery for it's sponsorship throughout the season and MMHA for their continued support.
