The Bob Merkley Silver Stick brought over 58 teams to Midland and surrounding area.

The Bantam/Midget weekend saw 26 teams compete in some great action packed games.

The Midland Legion Branch 80 Midgets battled hard and narrowly missed out on advancing to the semi's with and 2-1 record.  The Canadian Tire Bantams battle hard but came up short, going 0-3 for the weekend. Still a great experience for all players getting the chance to play in the Silver Stick.

This past weekend brought 32 teams came out to compete for the chance to go to the International Silver Stick.

The Huronia Steel Novice Rep team skated to away with 1-2 record with some great action in all their games.

The Bourgeois Motors Peewee Rep came away with 0-2-1 record.  The team battled hard against some great competitors.

The Boathouse Eatery Atom reps clinched a spot in the championship final after defeating Woolwich 4-2 in the Sunday morning semi final matchup.  However, they lost to a strong Dundas team in the championship final 2-0.

The players, coaches and fans should be proud of all the teams efforts. We are extremely lucky to have this great tournament in our hometown.

A special thank you to the Midland Silver Stick Committee for the great job in organizing this tournament.
